Save Game Folder

Your Grand Theft Auto V save files contain a lot of important information about your single player game saves. You may wish to access them to transfer them to another computer or new location, create some backups to return to at another date, or just share them with friends. Thankfully, they're quite easy to locate. You can find them in the following folder:

%UserProfile%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles

To quickly jump to that path, just open a File Explorer window and paste it into the address bar.

Mods Folder

Steam

If you've installed GTA 5 via Steam, your mods folder should be at the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you haven't created a mods folder before, you'll need to make one. The folder isn't created automatically by Grand Theft Auto.

If the above folder doesn't exist, follow our find a Steam game folder guide to work out where you've installed GTA 5.

Rockstar Games

On non-Steam (Rockstar Games) installations of GTA, you should have your mods folder here:
