SOLVED: FFXIV Screenshot Location

FFXIV Screenshot Folder

Final Fantasy XIV is an MMORPG that was released in 2013. It is available on PC, PlayStation 3/4, Mac, and will eventually be released on Xbox One.

In FFXIV, you play a character which is greatly customized when you start the game. First, you must choose a job and class, and you can optionally customise many appearance variables such as your character's hair, etc. Unlike other MMORPGs, you can change your class at a later date in time, so your decision on your character's class is not imperative at the character creation phase.

After creating your character, you can complete quests from three different quest lines, train skills, take part in events, fulfill crafting and gathering jobs, among many other activities.

See help to find screenshots based on the device you are playing on below:

Windows

On Windows editions of Final Fantasy 14, you can take screenshots by pressing the PRINT SCRN button on your keyboard. After taking them, they can be found at the following path:

%HomePath%\Documents\My Games\FFXIV\Screenshots

If the above path isn't helpful at all, follow these steps:

  1. Open up File Explorer - you can do this by typing File Explorer into the start menu
  2. Click Documents on the left of the newly opened File Explorer window
  3. Go into My Games > FFXIV > Screenshots
  4. That's it! In the Screenshots folder you will find all of the screenshots you've taken

Your path in File Explorer should look like this:

Troubleshooting

If you've taken a screenshot via F12, it's likely a Steam screenshot, not an FFXIV screenshot. Although there's little to no difference in terms of the resulting screenshot, the location the screenshot is saved to will be different. To locate Steam screenshots, see this guide.

PlayStation 4

On PS4 FF14, you can take screenshots by pressing the "Share" button. But after taking them.. how can you access them? That's simple: from the PlayStation menu, go to the "Library" application. Then just go to the "Capture Gallery" option, find Final Fantasy: XIV and voila!
