State of Decay 2 Save Game Location

State of Decay 2 is a survival game that was first released on 22nd May 2018. It is the second out of three in the series, the first of which ‘State of Decay’ was launched to market in 2013 and State of Decay 2: Heartland in 2019.

The game, which is played from a third person perspective and with options for multiplayer gameplay of up to four, is set in post-apocalypse in a world filled with Zombies. Players not only have to survive, but in order to progress through the game will have to ensure that them and their team have enough food, shelter and medicine.

With a review score of 74% on PC Gamer and 69% on Metacritic, State of Decay 2 has received a mixed response from players. Whilst the game provides a good open world environment and a new DLC which enhances the gaming experience, there have been criticisms made on its repetitive nature and poor storyline.

Save Game Files Location

You can find your State of Decay 2 save game files in the following folder:

%LocalAppData%\StateOfDecay2\Saved\SaveGame

If you have no clue what to do with the above path, don't stress! All you need to do is:

1. Open up a Run window - this can be done by pressing WINDOWS + R on your keyboard, or by right clicking the start menu button and clicking Run
2. Paste %LocalAppData%\StateOfDecay2\Saved\SaveGame inside the text field in the Run window
3. Press ENTER on your keyboard or click OK and you'll be taken to your save games folder!
