Game Save Location
Slime Rancher is an open world action-adventure simulation game that was first released in January 2016 and is available to play on Xbox One, Macintosh operating systems, Microsoft Windows, Linux and most recently on PlayStation 4 in August 2018.
In its sandbox gameplay, players are given control of a character named Beatrix Le Beau from a third person perspective, who has travelled several light years away to live on a ranch where she can cultivate slime. Players must help to create the ranch, as well as exploring the surrounding world to find resources to help breed the different slimes.
Slime Rancher is run on unity engine and was developed and publish by a company called Monomi Park. It has so far received some mixed reviews from fans with a score of 10/10 on Steam and 65% on PC Gamer. Whilst some players have praised its storyline and design, some have criticized it for its repetitiveness and glitches.
Save File Location
Slime Rancher saves are stored locally on your computer. That means if you ever move computer, you'll need to manually transfer them if you want to keep your save data. With your saves being stored locally on your computer (and not in the cloud), you can easily create backups, or share your saves with friends (which is great!).

On Windows, your Slime Rancher save file is located at:
%AppData%\..\LocalLow\Monomi Park\Slime Rancher
To open that path, just paste it into the address bar at the top of File Explorer and hit
On Mac, your Slime Rancher saves are located in the following folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Monomi Park/Slime Rancher
Access this directory by opening a Finder window, pressing
G on your keyboard, pasting
~/Library/Application Support/Monomi Park/Slime Rancher into the text box and then clicking
On Linux, you can find your Slime Rancher save files at:
~/.config/unity3d/Monomi Park/Slime Rancher
