Prey, which was first released on 5th May 2017, has had been positively welcomed by fans with a review score of 9/10 on Steam. Players were quick to praise the games visuals, story line involvement and multiple playing styles, with some comparisons made to the game ‘Bioshock’.
The game sets itself as a strong contender in the horror video game genre, as a first person shooter and role-playing game (RPG). The game is set on a space station in 2032, where players must make their way through the different compartments of the space station, whilst avoid being attacked and killed by aliens, gradually unlocking an open world environment where the player is free to explore and eventually escape.
Prey is run on CryEngine and is available on platforms including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was published by Bethesda Softworks, based in America, which is also known for publishing games such as Fallout and Pirates of the Caribbean.
