Path of Exile

Path of Exile Screenshot Folder

Path of Exile (POE) is an RPG set in a dark fantasy world, a continent called ‘Wraeclast’, which challenges players to a number of quests and missions to avoid exile. The game, which mirrors a lot of features from Diablo 2, allows players to create a character and select from seven class options. Gamers can collect skill gems, some rarer than others, to add to their character’s skill level and ability to help them advance through the skill web.

POE was developed by Grinding Gear Games, designed by Chris Wilson and was originally released in October 2013, but has since been made available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and finally PlayStation 4 in March 2019.

The game is free to play and hosts a number of game play modes to experience, including the default standard, the Hardcore and the Solo Self Found. It has been praised for the level of skill and competition that players require, however, it has also been criticized for its dated user interface and graphics.

Screenshot Folder

In Path of Exile, you can take a screenshot by pressing the F8 key. Note that PRINT SCRN is not how to take a screenshot in PoE; the F8 key is the only key that will take a screenshot and save it in this game (there is some confusion is PRINT SCRN is usually the key to take a screenshot in other games).

Once taking a screenshot you can find it in the following folder:

%HomePath%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\Screenshots

You can open up this path by going to your Documents, then through the folders: My Games > Path of Exile > Screenshots.

If that folder is empty, firstly make sure you are using the F8 key to take a screenshot. If you are definitely using F8 to take a screenshot, check the path at which you installed PoE for a screenshots folder (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile) as older versions of the game would save screenshots here.
