Planet Coaster Save Location

Save Game Location

Planet Coaster, first released on 17th November 2016, has received some mixed responses from fans with a review rating of 75% on PC Gamer and 84% on Metacritic. Whilst many players have spoken favorably on the game’s high level of customization and visuals, a few have criticized its difficult scenarios and slow performance.

Similar its predecessor ‘Rollercoaster Tycoon’, players are given the ability to design and build their own unique theme park. This includes everything from constructing the rides, designing the layout and scenery, to running and managing the theme park itself. By increasing the satisfaction of customers, players are able to increase their income to spend on improving the theme park features, simulating a real-life theme park.

Planet Coaster was both developed and published by Frontier Developments renound for its simulation games such as Planet Zoo and Jurassic World Evolution. Players can currently access the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

Save Location

After building an amazing theme park, you might want to create a backup (so that you never lose it to a game error or PC problem), or just share your save with your friend. For both of these tasks, and many others, knowing where your game saves are located is crucial. That's why you're here after all.

Planet Coaster save files are located in the following folder on Windows:

%UserProfile%\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster

To access that folder, simply:

  1. Open a Run window by pressing WINDOWS + R on your keyboard, or by right clicking your start menu button and selecting the Run option
  2. Then, inside the Run window's text field, paste %UserProfile%\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster
  3. Hit OK and then you'll find yourself inside the save location!
