SOLVED: Oxygen Not Included Save File Location

Oxygen Not Included is a simulation game set in space, in which players have to build, manage and run an asteroid base. Through exploration, players take set themselves their own challenges, but will also have to ensure their colony survival through things such as oxygen, food and water.

Since its first release in February 2017, with its final release being in July 2019, players scored the game highly with a ratings of 86% on Metacritic and 10/10 on Steam. The game has been described as entertaining and as having a good combination of survival and management simulation aspects; however, some users would have liked a little more in-game tutorial.

Oxygen Not Included is run on Unity Engine and was developed by a company named Klei Entertainment, also known for games such as ‘Don’t Starve’ and ‘Mark of the Ninja’. Users can currently access the game on PC, with platforms including Macintosh operating systems, Linux and Microsoft Windows.

Oxygen Not Included Save Game Location

Your save data from Oxygen Not Included is stored locally on your computer. It's important to know this because if you ever move to a new computer, you'll need to transfer your save files if you want to keep your progress. With save files stored locally on your computer, knowing where they're located also comes in handy when you want to create a backup, or share your save with a friend.

To open that path, just paste it into the address bar at the top of a File Explorer window and hit ENTER.

Mac

On Mac, you can find your Oxygen Not Included save files in this folder:

~/Library/Application Support/unity.Klei.Oxygen Not Included/save_files

Open up Finder, press COMMAND + SHIFT + G, paste ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Klei.Oxygen Not Included/save_files into the text box and click Go to go to that folder.

Linux
