My Summer Car

Save File Location

First released on the 24th of October 2016, My Summer Car is set in Finaland where the player takes control of a 19 year old teenager who is left in charge of his house while his parents are away on holiday. While his parents are away he has been tested with restoring and maintaining his dad’s car, which involves players using parts found in the garage, completing tasks in the local neighbourhood to earn money for certain parts and figuring out how to put together the different sections of the car itself.

The game is run on Unity Engine and is currently only available to play on Microsoft Windows. It was developed and published by Amistech Games, a Finish game developer.

My Summer Car sets itself in the Vehicle Simulation game market and has received a positive response from players. With a review score of 9/10 on Steam, players have spoken highly on its creativity and storyline, however, criticisms have also been made on poor optimisation and its lag time.

My Summer Car Save File Location

Because there's only the possibility to have one save going at once in My Summer Car (if you create a new save, it'll take the old save's place), many wish to access their save file to make a copy of it before overwriting it with a new one.

Accessing the save file is also useful if you are playing with permanent death enabled (and want to be cheeky), or modify them. Whatever your reasons for needing access to it, you can find it in this folder:

To access that folder:

  1. Open up a File Explorer window - you can do this by right clicking the start menu button (bottom left) and clicking File Explorer
  2. Click the address bar at the top of File Explorer
  3. Paste the path %AppData%\..\LocalLow\Amistech into the address bar
  4. Press ENTER on your keyboard
  5. And you'll find yourself inside the saves folder!
