Hollow Knight sets itself in the action-adventure market, with a storyline based in fictional land named ‘hollownest’. As an exploration game, players take on the role of a Hollow Night to discover the different areas of the kingdom in order to solve an ancient mystery.
The game has received an extremely positive response from players with a review score of 90% on Metacritic and 9/10 on Steam. Highpoints of the game involve its animations, immersive sound effects and free DLCs; however, some players have noted that the challenging nature of the game can be particularly brutal at times.
First released on 24th February 2017, Hollow Knight is run on Unity Engine and was developed by Team Cherry. The game was first made available for Windows, macOS, and Linux in 2017 but has since been extended to platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

On Windows, you can locate your Hollow Knight save game files in this folder:

Don't know what to do with that path? Fear not! Just follow these steps:

on your keyboard to open a Run window - Paste

into the text field - Hit
OK
- And that's you in your save file folder!
Mac
Mac installations of Hollow Knight create save files in this folder:
~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight
To access that folder, follow these steps:
- Open a Finder window
- Press

+G
on your keyboard - Paste
