Save Game Location

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the sequel to its predecessor Devinity: Original Sin in 2014, and is available to play in both single player and multiplayer modes. As an RPG, players are able to create a character to either play alone or with up to three other recruits to assist them in combat and progress through the game.

Released on 14th September 2017, the game was developed by Larian Studios, a Belgium Video Game developer, and is available to play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been nominated for a number of gaming awards and won Gamescom’s 2018 award for "Best Role-Playing Game". It has also received a number of positive reviews from fans with an impressive score of 10/10 on GameSpot and 10/10 on Steam.

Save File Location

Should you ever wish to make a backup of your save data, transfer your game to a new computer, or share your progress with your friend, you'll need access to the Divinity: Original Sin 2 saves folder.

Unlike some other games, the saves folder for DOS2 is very easy to locate. You can find it at the following path on Windows:

%UserProfile%\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles

Just paste that path into the address bar of File Explorer and hit ENTER to jump to it:

Inside the PlayerProfiles folder, you will find a folder for each of your profiles. Within each profile folder, there will be a folder named Savegames, this is where your game data is saved.
